On the money Toly, if Putin were in the US, he would kneel to the power of the oligarchs. This is called following "free market principles" by the Univesity of Chicago and The Hoover Institute. To them, these countries lack, as Noam Chomsky has pointed out, "democratic credentials." Democratic credentials are earned by ignoring the will of your people and taking your orders from Washington DC. However, with our 38,000 Washington lobbiests, corporate controlled presidential debates, and computering elections rigged by Diebold, we are the picture of democratic health. Our elections now resemble auctions more than a process by which citizens let their wishes be known. The new term for running for office should be called "going IPO." Other countries should be invaded by us so as to taste the sweet nectar of freedom.

Many good points.

1. Russia - how one can not feel a sympathy for V Putin who, while being a true KGB man, nevertheless is undoing the consequence of Summer's "brilliant" advice - taking some oligarchs down (e.g. Gusinnskij, Khodorkovskij,Berezovskij, etc.) and getting stolen assets back to the states. Of course, all US-media messaging about about lawless Russian sociaety (while maybe true) serves anything but interests of Russian citizens but rather those "poor" oligarchs who have been obedient servants of multinational (was not Khodorkovskij going to sell "his" oil company to Exxon?:))

2. Obama - well the campaign is over and for another 2.5 years why not to be a true self and get your future campaign coffers full? A solid business practice:

3. The worst is yet to come - with Summers becoming the next Fed Chairman (did not we know that Fed is a private bank with largely foreign ownership?). This will complete the circle and the US constitution will not be worth a paper it is written on.
